YUI is a Japanese singer.
Name: Yui Yoshioka
Date of Birth: March 26, 1987 in Fukuoka, Japan

His professional career began in March 2004, when she sang three songs at an audition hosted by Sony Music Japan. Although the hearing specified that a participant could only sing two songs, all the judges gave the highest score possible, which caused a fierce struggle between the labels to make her strong. For the first time he sang "Why Me" (a song that was subsequently included in his big debut cataloged as part of their first single), followed by "It's happy line" and "I know". "It's happy line" was her debut indie single.


Since then this has not stopped singing and has achieved success after another, coming to participate as a protagonist in 2006 of a movie that was titled "Taiyou no Uta" which screened at the Festival de Cannes that year.

In June 2007, she released YUI his first double single entitled "My Generation / Understand". "My Generation" was the song of the drama "Seito Shokun!" As with his previous albums, YUI touring again, this time for most Japanese cities, on his third tour "oui". During that tour launched its, to date, last single, titled "Summer Song".
Is expected in November go on sale first compilation album, "My Short Stories", including as a bonus a new song entitled "It's a go". After that, YUI is planning to take a little break to cool off and return with new songs in 2009.
